Established in 1997
Established in 1997 and strategically placed in the Scottish Highlands, DEM Ltd (Dun-Aliscaig Estate Management Ltd) is a small, privately owned company providing facility and land management services to the power generation, renewable energy, forestry and agriculture industries.
Serving the renewable industry since 2002, DEM has provided direct and indirect support to wind and hydro energy developers.
Extensive Experience
DEM has extensive experience in upland roads and their maintenance, surface water management and peatland restoration. We have developed specialised road grading equipment that can quickly and efficiently repair washed out and damaged road surfaces. A dedicated road grader has recently been added to the fleet of construction equipment. This will enable us to quickly and efficiently reshape and camber road surfaces.
Renewable Support Services
DEM Ltd actively participate in the development and support of wind and hydro energy. Services range from site investigation, construction and post completion suport.
Forestry Services
Forestry services include: fencing, ground preparation, tree planting, fertiliser and herbicide application, road maintenance, and ride and verge cutting.
Upland Management
Moorland and upland land management include peatland restoration, habitat improvement, ditch clearing and closing, rush and heather control, including muirburn, where we have developed, manufactured and supplied bespoke herbicide spraying and wildfire control equipment.
Equipment & Engineering
Our extensive equipment range includes low ground pressure excavators, tractors, graders and all –terrain vehicles.
Additional services include civil and mechanical engineering. We have a well-equipped workshop with a machine shop and welding facilities.
